What does an LPN do?

An LPN or Licensed Practical Nurse works with patients in Doctor’s offices, hospitals, nursing homes to name a few, and they provide the patients with basic medical care.  An LPN routinely assesses a patient’s vital signs, they provide medication and help with basis procedures, and they are often supervised by an RN.

How do I become an LPN?

In order to become an LPN you need to attend one of the qualified State Board LPN Nursing Schools.  The LPN degree is an associate degree available from a community college or nursing  school.  After you complete the 2 year program, you will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN which is the national certification exam administered to all LPN candidates.
